Raised in Chicago, Sharon Etter began her art career at Evanston Township High School, where her love for fine art became a craft to perfect. She continued her fine art studies at Northern Illinois University and found her unique style. Upon graduation in 1998 with a B.F.A., Sharon immersed herself in the Chicago art community. With several solo shows to her credit, Sharon continues to create work and searches for non-traditional spaces to show it.

Sharon began to concentrate on a completely non-representational, abstract style. Subject matter in her work is secondary. Color, composition, and spacial relationships are the forefront of her work.
